Yes! We provide wetsuit and safety buoy rentals. Please inform us in advance if you need equipment so we can ensure your size is available for the session.
These structured open water sessions are designed to help you prepare specifically for the Swim Grand Prix 2026. With distances ranging up to 7km and diverse courses along the Oeiras and Cascais coastline, they provide the perfect opportunity to build endurance and recognize the race environment.
Whether you are an experienced long-distance athlete or looking for your first open water competition experience, you can choose the training date that best suits your needs. However, please check the specific distance for each date (ranging from 1.9km to 7km) to ensure it matches your current fitness level.
Due to the nature of point-to-point swims and reliance on tides/weather, the exact meeting points and start times will be sent to you via email or WhatsApp after your booking is confirmed.
Yes. You will be accompanied by coaches and guides with extensive open water experience. Depending on the specific route and distance, support may also include safety boats, kayaks, or Stand-Up Paddles (SUP) to monitor the group. For some longer sessions, fueling and nutrition can also be provided.
We aim to provide elite-level recovery at the end of some sessions (subject to confirmation). This includes a mobile unit equipped with hot baths (36/38ºC) and cold cryotherapy baths (6/8ºC) to help your muscles recover immediately after the effort.
Yes. All routes, distances, and dates are subject to change based on sea conditions and weather. Safety is our priority, and we will update participants as early as possible if a change is necessary.
Absolutely. Active students of the SwimTogether school with a valid monthly membership are eligible for a special discount on these training sessions.
This session is dedicated to familiarizing yourself with the official SwimGP course. We use the exact same buoys that will be used during the actual race, allowing you to practice sighting, navigation, and turning points under realistic race-day conditions.
While we may provide fueling during some sessions, we highly recommend bringing your own gels or hydration that you plan to use on race day. This is the perfect time to test what works for your stomach under stress.
A wetsuit and a safety buoy (tow-float) are mandatory for all official training sessions due to the distances covered and safety protocols. Don't forget your goggles and a bright-colored swim cap.
