You can make a reservation at the top of each destination\u2019s page. Then, select your desired date and fill out the form with your information. Payment is made directly on the platform in a secure manner, with several payment methods available: credit card, iDeal, Bancontact, or via Link. For payments by bank transfer and MB WAY, please contact us. You will receive a confirmation that your payment has been processed and the booking is complete.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Payment is made in two installments. A 30% deposit (non-refundable if the traveler cancels) to secure the reservation, and a second payment of 70% up to 60 days before the trip begins. You may also choose to pay the full amount of the trip in a single payment. Of course! While our groups include couples, friends, and families, most of our travelers come alone and end up forming an amazing group of friends who share a passion for open-water swimming. There are a limited number of single rooms available on most of our trips; however, it\u2019s also possible to book a shared room, which means we\u2019ll pair you with a traveler of the same gender. Every trip is different. At SwimTogether, we stand out for the quality of the accommodations we choose for our travelers. We don\u2019t follow the typical luxury or budget travel models. We may stay in 4- or 5-star hotels, depending on the destination and availability. Sometimes we stay in more sophisticated places, and other times in simpler accommodations. Rooms are assigned randomly as registrations come in. If you\u2019re traveling as a couple or with a friend, you\u2019ll be assigned a private room just for the two of you. If you\u2019re traveling alone, you\u2019ll share a room with another solo traveler of the same gender. We usually stay in double rooms, which may have a double bed or two single beds. Whenever possible, we reserve double beds for couples. On some occasions, you may choose to stay in a single room, but we cannot guarantee that this will be possible every night of the trip. For more information, please contact us. The trip is confirmed once all the necessary conditions for its departure have been met, including reaching the minimum number of travelers and finalizing all organizational details (reservations, transfers, activities, and more). Typically, confirmation occurs several months before the scheduled date, though it may be delayed until no later than 20 days before departure. It is possible that, at the time you make your reservation, the trip has already been confirmed.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

If SwimTogether cancels the trip, we will offer participants three options: a refund of the amount paid; the option to reschedule for a new date; or the option to use the amount toward a different destination or keep it as credit for a future trip. Each traveler is responsible for purchasing their own airline ticket. However, SwimTogether is always available to assist and guide you through the purchase process. You should purchase your flights only after paying for the trip and confirming with SwimTogether that your reservation is complete.<\/p>

You must arrive at your destination on the day the trip begins (the date listed on the website) and schedule your return for the day the trip ends. It is common, especially for more distant destinations, to have to leave the day before in order to arrive in time for the start of the trip.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Of course you can, but you\u2019ll be on your own until you meet your tour guides and the group at the hotel on the day the adventure begins. If you\u2019d like, you can also extend your stay and stay a few more days after the SwimTogether trip ends. Transfers vary depending on the trip. Typically, there is only one transfer for the entire group on the way there and another on the way back. Transfer schedules are set based on the recommended flights. Upon arrival at the destination airport, a driver holding a SwimTogether sign will always be waiting for travelers. If you choose flights other than those suggested and arrive at the airport early, you may wait until the transfer time. The same applies on the return trip: if your flight is later but you\u2019d like to take the transfer to the airport, you may do so. If you choose flights whose dates or times do not coincide with those of the transfers, we can arrange your transfer for an additional fee.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

Throughout the trip, travelers will be accompanied by SwimTogether tour guides. They will also travel with other participants of various ages and swimming abilities, which may include young students, retired couples, solo travelers, groups of friends, experienced open-water swimmers, or people who are not used to swimming outside of a pool. Since the tour guides and most travelers speak English, this will be the primary language used during the trip. However, we sometimes have local guides who speak only Portuguese or Spanish. It is important to understand that a travel guide is not a tour guide. To provide a deeper understanding of the history of the country and the places visited, specialized local guides are occasionally included to answer any questions.<\/p>

The travel leader\u2019s main role and responsibility is to handle all logistics, so that travelers don\u2019t have to worry about accommodations, transportation, meals, or activities. At the same time, they are also responsible for introducing the country and its culture to the group, fostering a fun and respectful atmosphere among all participants.<\/p>
